Percolation Threshold of Red-Bed Soft Rock during Damage and Destruction

The critical damage point of the red-bed soft rock percolation phenomenon can be described as threshold. At present, there are insufficient theoretical and experimental studies on threshold rock. In combination with analysis, compression experiment numerical simulation, destruction studied in this paper. was obtained by constructing a renormalization group model Based mechanics theory, characterization strain equivalent hypothesis, constitutive obtained. determined test model, which verified rationality threshold, we numerically simulated under triaxial compression. results showed that increases confining pressure rises, but decreases significantly action water. study, failure conditions characteristics different were relationship between revealed, providing new direction for studying unstable

Rigid-floppy percolation threshold.

The mathematical limits for the percolation of rigid and floppy clusters throughout continuous networks are considered. Results are compared to the previous prediction of Thorpe based on the assumption that the threshold condition is the equality of degrees of freedom and the number of constraints. It is demonstrated that, in two-dimensional systems, the thresholds values predicted here and in ...

Immunization and targeted destruction of networks using explosive percolation

A new method ("explosive immunization") is proposed for immunization and targeted destruction of networks. It combines the explosive percolation (EP) paradigm with the idea of maintaining a fragmented distribution of clusters. The ability of each node to block the spread of an infection (or to prevent the existence of a large cluster of connected nodes) is estimated by a score. The algorithm pr...
